Michael Lodge -
When I go to my office in the morning I arrive about the same time every morning that I follow this man that is about 89 years old and goes about 2 miles an hour driving down to three levels down. When he comes to a corner in the parking garage he turns on his blinkers at 7 am in the morning. Then he parks his car and comes to the elevator going two times slower than his car. Shuffling along as I hold the elevator door open. I can hear his feet but it takes a while. I always give him a smile and a good morning - but he is so deaf he never hears me. But I say it anyway. But what I admire is he tries, he gets up every morning and he does it, he shows up to work - wanting to work. His heart and mind have things to be accomplished. I admire people that never give up. It inspires me to do better. Old is not old, it is an inspiration.
